LEARN TO USE YOUR DLSR    Sunday 2/28/16

This 3-hour, hands-on workshop will teach you to the basics of using your DSLR camera to it's maximum potential. You'll learn manual camera operation and understand how to get the perfect exposure using shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. We will also go over the basics of focus, lens selection, and white balance and learn how to utilize each to achieve various creative effects. NOTE: Participants must bring their own digital camera with manual shutter speed and aperture controls.

FUNDAMENTALS OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY    Wednesdays 3/9, 3/16, 3/23 & 3/30 7-9pm & Saturday 3/26 1-4pm

This 5-part course will teach you the basics of digital photography and how to use your DSLR camera to its maximum potential. You will learn manual camera operation and understand how to get the perfect exposure using shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. The course will also cover focus, lens selection, and white balance. There will also be an introduction to image editing and organization. Last (but not least), you will also learn the rules of composition, light, and color and when to break the rules!

Each meeting of this hands-on workshop will be followed by a short photography “homework” exercise. You will have the opportunity to share your work from that week with the class for critique. The last day of the course will conclude with a quick field trip where you will shoot with the instructor and fellow participants and give a final presentation of images.

NOTE: Participants must bring their own digital camera with manual shutter speed and aperture controls
